Oct 10 - Misc 093

Oct 10 - Misc 096

Here’s what our life consists of right now:

  • Football, football and more football.
  • Nintendo DS Mario and Bowser games.
  • Joey learning his sight words, and two nights of homework a week.
  • Maddox going to preschool 2 days a week and learning how to use scissors.
  • Joey making up jokes and thinking he’s really funny.
  • Maddox making up random stories that aren’t true and usually start with “One time, mom, when I was a baby, I…..”
  • Daily struggles with brushing our teeth.
  • Joey getting invited to other kids’ houses for play dates.
  • Maddox wanting to get invited to the same kids’ houses for play dates.
  • Lots of racing and “versing” – for example, “Wanna race to the couch?” or “We’ll beat you to the house, mom” or “Wanna verse?” (Nintendo talk)
  • Cat in the Hat and SuperWhy are favorite cartoons right now.
  • Maddox wanting to copy everything his big brother does.
  • Joey conning his big brother into doing anything he wants. (Master manipulator…)
  • Joey drawing lots of pictures and wants us to keep everything he brings home from school.
  • Maddox wants to wear football jerseys every single day.
  • Joey and Maddox both hate “church clothes” – which means kackis or jeans and nice shirts.  They only want to wear “gym clothes.”
  • Both still sleep with two stuffed animals and Maddox sleeps with his “Bay-Bay” still. They also sleep with their night lights and pick out two “men” to sleep with. It’s a full bed by the time all is tucked in.
  • Bedtime routine takes about 30 minutes start to finish….brush teeth, pick out your two men, read a story, read the prayer, kisses, hugs, and finally lights off.
  • Mom an dad never sitting down until about 9:30 p.m. every night!

Life with boys couldn’t be more fun right now!
