Summer Happenings....
Wednesday, September 14, 2016
As summer comes to a close, a few photos from some of the fun things we got to do or see!
VBS, go-carting and an impromptu pool party with Joey's friends....
Zach Coppola had a great year in baseball - he moved up another level - and we love watching him! He had a cat-themed baseball game that made us all crack up!

Saylor doing performances in her room, Saylor loving on her dog(s), and the three kids gathering round a bunny that Copa killed. I'm not sure why that photo is so funny to me...I should feel bad about the bunny....
My good friend, Leslie, had twins!!! These were long awaited, very loved, prayed for babies!! So, anticipation was high! So, of course, we had to see them fresh from God at the hospital...the kids just LOVED them. It was really cute to hear Joey and Maddox talk all the way home from the hospital about newborn babies and Saylor re-enacted every single scene from that hospital for the next 7 straight days. Beautiful baby girls, Etta and Hattie!! Can't get enough of them!!
Cousin shenanigans....
New basketball shoes...
Birthday date and shopping with Gracie....who is growing up way too fast for my liking...
And other selfies and smiles....
And, the beginning of a whole new season in our house...TACKLE football season....insert a scared mom and a brave dad and a very very excited little boy
It's time for fall to get here...and Saylor's bday and the first day of half-day kindergarten!!!
Signs of Summer

A few signs of summer that I don't want to forget....
The good news is - we have cherry trees that produced abundant fruit and amazing cherry cobbler! The bad news is...our first garden was a complete fail. These carrots tell the whole story- they made me laugh all day long. We've got some work to do and are confident farming is not our calling.
The pool has been amazing - we love having cousins, family and friends over to enjoy it!
Now, time to hit the road and head to the North Woods! I'm really excited for a "break" from the summer routine, and sand and sunshine every day. Minnesota, here we come.
