November Happenings!!

Friday, December 11, 2015

Well, November flew by but I wanted to make sure I wrote down a few of the things we did...

We celebrated Thanksmas on the Remsburg side. A few memories: Jenny was late; Kelly's smokies weren't done; Dawn's potatoes weren't done; Dawn had some kind of problem with having "leftovers" so we boxed everything up; Kelly didn't feel good; Gma got a blow-up mattress from all of us; the calendar funnies were Faith pooping and Jon's birthday was wrong; and Gma spoiled us big time. I love watching all the little kids play together though- that's my favorite part.

We cheered Michigan on hard this football season and we had a good season, but did not pull off the big wins against Michigan State or Ohio State. We also cheered on Dowling to a state championship

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Brett and Kelly's. But, there was a lot of snow and maybe ice on the way so some didn't make it, and the rest left early....and the snow and ice did not come afterall! It was great seeing Gma and Gpa though - and they looked good!

We played a lot of basketball....still practicing just one night a week, and games, plus tournaments on the weekend. Both boys have show some improvement, and both teams are playing better and better as time goes on! I have to say....I love watching the boys play. It's fun watching them have fun, I guess!

Joey has had to play against several of his good friends this year, which always poses a challenge. It's both a good and a bad thing. He seems to handle it really well though!  And, Saylor....she is picking up some of her dad's coaching skillz along the way!

We celebrated Joe's birthday with apple pie after basketball practice, and Maddox gave him the best present of all - a handwritten letter that we now have framed!

We put up our first REAL Christmas tree!!! Everyone was very excited about the new addition. It does smell good. And, it does look pretty. And, I may have been wrong about not enjoying a real tree. So, we will see what next year will bring...And, Saylor got a tree in her room! And, we've been reading 2 or 3 Christmas books each night which she loves. It's one of my favorite Christmas traditions, too...

We went to our first family movie- Peanuts Charlie Brown! It was the first movie as a family of five where we all made it through the whole thing. I loved the movie! We also put together puzzles, and Maddox's hair became a separate family member of ours. It has a life and a personality of its own.

It was a busy November that sort of flew by.....now, it's time to get ready for Christmas!!
