Christmas Happenings

Leading up to Christmas, we had a few fun things to celebrate..

Maddox brought home a bear from his class, Corduroy. He had to take the bear everywhere with us, and then do a little presentation on it in class. Here's a couple of fun photos!

Nina came to visit us for a long weekend! Kelly recently had knee surgery and I think mom and dad needed a little break from the three year old! So, we all stepped in to help. She was at my house a couple days and Ali's house a couple days! It was fun having one on one time with her!

Nina's favorite thing to do, by far, was get into my snack drawer! Every time I turned around, there she was opening the snack drawer! To her credit, she would always bring me an item and say in the sweetest voice, "Aunt Holly, can I have this???" I couldn't say no!

Joe and I and the other Lightning coach and his wife helped put together a Christmas practice to make things a little more fun! Here's a couple photos from the night. I think the kids had a great time!

Every year, we take our cousins, Rylie and Macy, to Jolly Holiday Lights, to see Santa, and do something Christmas-y.  Well, a huge rainstorm came and canceled Jolly Holiday Lights. So, we improvised. We had game night and played about 9 different games in a row. Then, we went to see Santa at the mall, and then we let the kids ride these moving animals. I laughed so hard....honestly, all night the kids made me laugh. At the end of the night, I told Joe that my mouth hurt from smiling and laughing so much. We ended the night with skillet desserts at Chili's. We ordered the smorgasboard of deserts and the kids devoured them!

It was just a fun night to be together and catch up and celebrate the holidays with each other!

One night, I was feeling lonesome for family, so I made a candlelight pasta dinner for the five of us! We were officially ready for Christmas!!

Cheers to a good Christmas season!!!
