Mother's Day 2011

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Mother's Day was a great day at our house! I woke up to two little boys singing to me with homemade cards from school, presents, and a potted flower that Maddox potted all by himself at school! We made brunch for Joe's mom, and then came home and played basketball, fished at the pond across the street, flew kites, rode bikes and napped! And, we ended the day by grilling hamburgers!

But, these were my favorites....Joey wrote me a note all by himself. He kept asking me to spell random words, but I had no idea what he would be writing. Anyway, it was the perfect note! I plan on framing it as a reminder of what's really important! When I asked him what "Stop it" means, he said, "You know...like stop doing the laundry and the dishes and that stuff and just be like us." So funny how smart kids are!

And, Joey helped Maddox write me a note that consisted of his name and Joey's name and some extra letters....but Joey kept saying to Maddox, "Look how good your Ds are getting, Maddox! Really nice job!" It cracked me up!
