Saylor Turns 3!!

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

It was a full day jam-packed with activities but it was the best day!! Here was the schedule:
9 a.m.- My niece, Maya, had a soccer game. I couldn't go since I was getting ready for Saylor's bday party but Joe and the kids went. She won!
10-12:30- Saylor's party - with a lemonade stand, Jimmy John's sandwiches, chips, fruit and cake!
1 p.m. - Joey's football game - He won and had 2 touchdowns and an interception that he ran in for a touchdown, too! It was his best game yet!
4 p.m. - Carter's football game - he won! And, he got a flag and did a great job!
5 p.m. - Maddox's football game- He won and had 2 touchdowns!
Pizza at The Tavern following the games!

What I loved most about the day:
* 4 athletic events made it busy but I loved watching each one of them.
* Gma Taylor came to everything and she normally does not come to games. I loved having her be a part of the day.
* Gma Phyllis came to everything and said that she really wished she could watch the boys play football in high school because she enjoys watching them so much. It was nice to see her in good spirits.
* The lemonade stand - Saylor and Brynn ran the stand and were just so cute. Saylor got bossy with Brynn, so I think she was the boss and Brynn was the employee. But, they took their job very seriously!
* Jeff and Aubree came from Kansas City - Jeff doesn't always catch the kids' games so it was so nice having them in town.
* Bobbi and Joe hadn't been back in town for awhile and were usually always very busy when they were back. It was nice just to see them relax and enjoy the kids.

What I didn't love about the day:
* Cary had surgery and wasn't able to move around very easily.
* I missed Gpa Cecil a lot. He would have just LOVED that day. I could just see him smiling everywhere I went on Saturday.
* I missed Gma and Gpa Bruggeman and Gma Doris but it would have been a long day for them.

Saylor was very spoiled- but she seemed to really like her Barbie stuff - she got some hand-me down Barbie stuff from Grace and Maya but really loved the Dream House she got! She also got a darling dress from the aunts and uncles and cute pajamas and costumes from Gma Sheila and Gma Bobbi. She loved opening gifts!

It was a tiring day but it was the best day. The kids' love tanks were VERY FULL at the end of the day. They ALL had the spotlight shined on them at one point during the day which is extra special!

Here are some photos from our day!

We also celebrated on her ACTUAL birthday at home with a few gifts and some cupcakes and a special breakfast!

Happy 3rd birthday, baby girl!
