Oh Say, Say...I can't believe this day is here. Really, I can't. I mean, it just seemed SO far away when she was born. But, here we are back at Shepherd of the Valley Preschool. I'm in love with this school and its teachers so I was happy to go back, but just had a hard time believing it was my baby. My last one. Sigh.

She was really, really excited to go to school like her big brothers. She wanted a backpack like her big brothers. She wanted homework. She wanted to lay out her school clothes. She was big timing us all. She would say to us "Mom and dad, are you going to CRY when I go to school?" And, if I would say no, she would say "Yes, you are, you are going to cry! But, it's going to be okay. I will see you again." She was assuring ME that it would all be okay. She did great at orientation and was a very good listener so we hoped for the best on the first day. She was mostly excited to paint and play in the loft and play puppets!

On the first day, she woke up like a boss. She was going to hit the 3-year-old preschool pavement running. She couldn't wait to get in the car and go! We got into the classroom and she was a little clingy, and wanted help hanging her apple up on the wall, and wanted to stay close to me but eventually, I said I would be back and I walked out. No tears- she put on her painting shirt and got to work! I walked out of that building like she walked in - like a boss. I had two hours to accomplish 19 things on my list at home! : )

I picked her up and she was all smiles. She told me all about painting and the book they read and she made one friend. But, she did not get to play puppets which was disappointing to her. Here are a few photos from her first day....!
