We made our annual trek to see Santa...I am always entertained by these visits, and Joe is usually slightly annoyed. It could be because I make him stand in line with the boys while I go scope out J.Crew and Pottery Barn. Anyway, you can read about years' past trips here and here. This year didn't bring as much excitement for our family, but as I was checking out, I did make a comment to the cashier that I really liked the "new" Santa and she told me that he wasn't new - that in fact, Santa had lost more than 100 pounds! Mrs. Claus must have given him an ultimatum or something! He looked FANTASTIC! I was so proud of him! Joey went right up to Santa and basically told Santa that he was going to get a Wii for Christmas (apparently, Joey missed the whole "You ASK Santa - you don't TELL Santa" rule.) Maddox stood in fear as he always does around Santa and through tears in his eyes mumbled "I want Spiderman and Wolverine and Mario Kart and Spiderman and Wolverine." Maddox started crying immediately when we suggested a photo but then Joey just went right up to the chair and said, "Maddox, come on, let's just sit on Santa's chair - not his lap!" (Seriously, Joey was like shouting orders to Santa all night long). Good thing Santa lost some weight because there was room for both of them! Maddox crawled up and loved that big chair!
The last holiday cheer I'll share is a photo of our house at Christmas time! Stockings, tree, chimney...we've got it all. Santa - stop here! We're ready for you! 
My favorite part of this picture is how he labeled each one of our stockings....J for Joey, D for Dad, M for Maddox and H for Holly...apparently, we're on a first-name basis now.
