Following our visit to Uncle Frank and Aunt Genie’s house, we headed to the mountains in Fraser, Colorado – home of Uncle David and Aunt Daria!
Their house was warm, inviting, beautiful and filled with love – it was perfect! Our first stop was a walk to see the horses! Uncle David even pulled the boys on a sled behind the four-wheeler!
The next morning, I tortured my children with Christmas card photo attempts…you would have thought I made them eat pickled beets….seriously! But, the mountains were so beautiful, and the backdrop was breathtaking and the trees were amazing, so this mama couldn’t pass up the chance on a good photo op!
We then headed to a train ride through the mountains- the scenery was unbelievable!
We got home and did a little nappin, a little shoppin’, a little eatin’ and a little hot tubbin’! The boys LOVED the hot tub and the “Polar Bear Plunges” we encouraged them to take!
And, the second best part for the boys….snuggling with Aunt Daria & Uncle David! After hot tub time, the boys got to watch movies on the couch and stay up late.
My favorite part was hanging out with the Stowells, good conversation, getting to share our boys with these two amazing people that we’re lucky to call family.
The boys woke up this morning, crawled into bed, and we all agreed- we miss David & Daria and wish we were back at the mountains….but we promised it won’t be long!
So, Happy Trails to You….Until We Meet Again! Thanks for the good times, David and Daria!
