What a difference a day (and a new countertop) make!

Last weekend, I headed home to Lake City with the boys so that Joe and his dad could conquer our kitchen countertops. We had old, old countertops that were beige/cream and they just kind of made our kitchen dreary and washed-out. I was looking for something that would update our kitchen and modernize it a little, while still going with our white kitchen cupboards. We found these countertops at Lowe's and the whole project cost around $300, I believe! I thought that was a steal - given the new look our kitchen received! Check it out!

I hope you can tell from the pictures how GREAT these turned out! Lucky for me, I have a super-talented, willing-to-try-anything, do-it-yourselfer Handy Manny as a father-in-law! So, I said the word and he went into action - with my husband! They worked Friday night for a couple of hours, and then worked all day Saturday. I arrived home before 6 p.m. and it was nearly finished- just some touch-up painting!

I think it made a world of difference, added some color, added a cleaner surface, and modernized the kitchen! I hope future buyers will like it, too!

Thanks father-in-law and hubby!!! I actually enjoyed cooking in it and cleaning up after supper last night!!!

Love the new counter tops! Jason and I always joke that we wished Uncle Joe lived near us to help with our projects-haha!! My dad's home improvement skills don't quite compare to those of your father-in-law. ;0)
