Ready for warmer weather!

We're all ready for warmer weather! The weather changes with the wind- it's cold, it's rainy, it's nice, it's sunny, it's windy, it's hailing, it's thundering...it's new weather every day!

We've had a long few days with Maddox. He's getting all of his teeth in and they are monsters. With Joey, he would go to bed and the next day wake up with new teeth and be happy as a clam. They never caused us any problems. With Maddox, it's more like he gives birth to a new tooth. It's a long process, they go up and down, and he's in pain the whole time (or at least we think so). The top ones were even bruised and swollen a little. So, it's been a rough few days. Two things cheer him up in midst of an all-out scream: Joey singing and going outside! So, we really need nice weather because it's soothing for Maddox, I think. Last night, Maddox was literally screaming so we made Joey come sing to him. He sings Itsy Bitsy Spider, Little Einstein theme song, Where is Thumbkin and attempts an Alvin and the Chipmunks song. It's adorable and I love that Maddox immediately turns and smiles at him and listens. It bothers Joey when Maddox cries and if we ever just let Maddox "cry it out", Joey will say, "Mom, Maddox is crying- go get him." They're already looking out for eachother and I love it!

Here's what little boys feet look like in the spring. It's so nice that Joey sees no need for shoes, so he wears his white socks out and has a grand ol' time. I have a feeling that socks like these will be commonplace around our house, so I've decided not to sweat it! Softball season is just around the corner- league starts tomorrow night. Rain is in the forecast so I hope it holds off - hard to take the boys to the field when it's rainy out.

Bobbi told me a cute story about Joey. He saw a bird and it was crossing the street and Joey said, "No, no birdie. Crossing the street is dangerous." Then, he said to Bobbi, "He should hold somebody's hand." He stopped to think and said, "What do birds hold, gma?" And, she said, "They probably hold wings." And, he said, "Yeah, probably wings!" It was like he was relieved to hear that they could hold something, since they didn't have hands!

My sister is in Cancun this week so it's odd not talking to her every day. We usually talk every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day, but most of the time, we don't have real relevant to say. But, it's nice to have one person in your life who you can talk about absolutely nothing with and both understand. So, I miss her this week, but I won't miss her when she comes back with a nice tan and I'm still pasty white.

My gpa Bill starts radiation treatment for his prostate cancer next week. He has 42 treatments, which comes out to 8 weeks and 2 days. It'll be a long haul and I know he's not happy about it. My gpa Cecil's prostate cancer is still being treated and we just keep praying it gets under control.

Looking forward to the weekend (and hoping Maddox's teeth tame down a little!)

Praying for your grandpas!

Weird, but I miss her too...didn't realize how many one liners she says to make me laugh. But you're right on about the tan.

Finally, oh teeth....ugh, that's all I can say.

Oh, poor Maddox! Although, I think everything he does in his life will be big, so this just means we can expect great things from him!

It's a yucky day here, so I hope you're getting the weather you wanted!
