Valentine's Day Fun

Here's a glimpse of how I made Valentine's Day special this year....

We had Valentine theme lunches and this year, I did valentine jokes on all of the items. Maddox said his friends loved those!

 Even Joe got a Valentine's lunch....sushi!
 Our annual heart pancakes for breakfast....

 And for supper, we had shrimp, salad, corn and cookies. And, then presents! The kids always get a little something from the grandparents and from us. This year, the kids needed new t-shirts and shorts so they all got that!

It was a fun day....but went fast....

And, here are some photos of Saylor and Joe for the Daddy Daughter Dance. Saylor was SO excited to go. They went out to eat before and then headed to Sacred Heart. A few memories from Joe:
* she didn't bat an eye when he asked her to dance alone or if she wanted me to come dance with her- she immediately grabbed my hand.
* the giggles and smiles when the deejay said they were playing a song for all of the dads to embarrass their daughters, and they all did the YMCA
* she loved doing all the actions and said she had never done that before but it was easy to copy Joe!
* dancing in a circle with all of her little friends
* smiling all night long

Dances aren't exactly Joe's thing but this was the most excited Joe has ever been about a dance! Seeing her get ready for the dance and come in and check on Joe was so cute!
