Christmas Roundup

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Well....this blog has clearly moved down my priority list in life. But, I do still like to record the bigger moments. Here's a quick and dirty roundup of our Christmas 2017....

Joe and the boys kicked off our Christmas season by picking out an amazing tree....RIP, Christmas Tree 2017.
We decorated cookies....
One of my favorite nights was going to Charlie Brown Christmas at the Civic Center with mom, Grace, Heather and Saylor. Poor Maya was sick. We went to Magnolia before the performance and it was such a fun girls night!
We had our annual night with Rylie and Macy....Jolly Holiday Lights, Santa visit and dessert at Chilis!
Some things are fun to keep as traditions.....but the times we celebrate our Christmas seems to change, as do the places!

We celebrated early with Bobbi and Joe at Cary and Ali's house. It was a fun night full of lots of gifts...Fingerlings, Hatchimals, XBox games, new phone cases, and more. Ali had the table set really nice and it was so festive!

We hit up Echo Valley and Aunt Joey's on Christmas Eve. We also went to church on Christmas Eve at Hope....it was a great service and really put us all in the spirit!

On Christmas morning, we had our usual French Toast casserole, opening presents and playing. This year, we did not go to Aunt Bobbye's for Christmas....we decided to make Christmas more relaxed, more down time, and more family time....and it was really a nice change! Mom and dad and heather and guthrey and family met us for a movie, we had soup and sandwiches after, and we just laid low...

There were a lot of favorite gifts: The Sticks sweatshirt, Michigan jersey, Mermaid tail, the dinosaur costume, and Xbox headsets. The kids really love all the little junk in the stocking too! It was a great Christmas and we ended with Jesus Birthday Cake.

We celebrated Christmas at my mom and dad's over New Year's Eve. It was kind of nice because it wasn't grouped in with all the other Christmas celebrations, and we had something to do over New Years! It was great food, company and presents!

We also had a chance to stop by and visit the great grandparents!

All and all, it was a great Christmas season....by the time the first thing started and the last thing ended, it was nearly 25 days of celebrating! We are really really blessed to have so many fun things to do, people to see, and reasons to celebrate!

That being said....we're ready for 2018!!!!
