Makeover: Our front door

To complete my blogging of home "renovations," here's some before and after photos of our new front door. Joe really didn't share my enthusiasm for this project. But, men just don't understand. As I told him "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!" The entry way needs to say "Welcome all who enter this house", am I right?

And, this door just didn't do it for me.

But, now, take a look at what a difference a new door makes!

Ta Da! I think it's much more welcoming. It also locks from the inside and out. We actually have the key for it. And, we removed the storm door and it's much lighter and easier to open and close! So, it does have some functional benefits, not just aesthetic!
