It's been awhile since I posted, but nothing super exciting going on here. However, we did manage to sneak away to Minneapolis for a fun-filled weekend. We all went to a Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game, which was really fantastic! And, Saylor got to go to the American Girl Doll cafe and pick out her own doll! And, the boys got to do some fun go carting and video games and watch football! Then, we spent the last days doing rides in the mall! Those exceeded all of the kids' expectations!
The American Girl Doll experience was truly a lot of fun! I had booked a "personal shopper" which comes free, and you get a lady that walks around the store with your daughter and tells you all about the dolls, helps her pick things out, etc. Saylor smiled the entire time! It was way cute. And, since mom and dad gave us money, I didn't have to foot the bill so that made it more fun for me, too! And, then she and I got to go to lunch at the American Girl Doll cafe which was pretty cute, too. They really pull out the red carpet and make it fun for the girls!
We hung out at the mall, ordered pizza, watched sports, and swam at the hotel the remaining time. We came home Monday morning...it was a lot of fun!
It was a fun weekend for everyone, but even a mini get away is not cheap. Between the mall amusement park, American Girl Doll, the basketball game, and the hotel....it all added up. But, it was "easy" to go to Minneapolis and pack up for a short time. It wasn't the beach but I enjoy being busy with the kids so I probably liked it just as much!
