Happy Father's Day, Joe!

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Father's Day came and went fast because we had 7 baseball games in one day! But, there's no other place Joe would rather be than watching his boys play baseball! So, no complaining here. But, because we did that, we decided to give Monday to Joe as Father's Day. I cleaned the house, prepared a special meal, set the table nice, and the boys and Saylor filled out coupons that had to be used on that night only.

Here are the coupons they prepared on their own:
* Go to bed without complaining
* Roll Joe out (with our foam roller)
* Pick up the toys outside
* Give Joe the best seats to watch the boys play one on one wiffle ball (they told me I had to watch from the cheap seats!)
* Pick up dog poop
* Play with the dog
* Beer in an ice cold mug
* Do the dishes after supper
* Sleep with nobody in bed with you (This was Maddox's idea and made Joe and I crack up. He told Joe that I could sleep with him in his bed for one night so Joe could have the ENTIRE bed to himself!)
* SAYLOR (Yep, Saylor gave him her name for a coupon...she was so proud)
* TV time with the whole family
* High five (Saylor did that one)
* Kiss (Saylor did that one)
* Go fishing
* Best seats to watch the boys play Homerun Derby
* Joey will make his coffee in the morning
* Graham crackers and milk (this is Joe's favorite snack)
* Quiet time for the kids
* S'mores on the patio
* Play XBox with the boys

They LOVED it when Joe would turn in a coupon and they had to go do something. They thought it was so much fun. Saylor basically got high fives all night long. Then, I had the boys fill out these worksheets, and Saylor had one from school!

And, we ended the night with S'mores outside! Happy Father's Day to an amazing dad who exceeds every expectation I ever had for my children....in my wildest dreams, I couldn't create a dad any better than him!
