Go Blue!

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Michigan vs. Iowa State basketball game in November! We were all looking forward to it (although Miss Thing stayed back with Aunt Heather). The boys had never been to a game at Hilton, which is an experience in itself. Its a great place to watch basketball- the energy is really fun and the place is always packed. I thought of my Gpa Cecil almost the entire time we were there....he would have loved to have gone to the game with us. I loved going to ISU games with my grandparents growing up. We would go to see my cousins which was always so much fun.

The boys had a good time, although it was really loud and almost a sensory overload for Maddox. And, I think he was surprised at how brutal the ISU fans were towards Michigan. I kept reminding him that it didn't matter if we won or lost- we were just happy to be there seeing Michigan first hand.  But, he definitely was ready to leave when the game was over. Sadly, we lost 77-70 which was another disappointment for the boys! We will have to find another Michigan game to go to soon!

Big thanks to Joe's friend, Ben, who made this game possible. The tickets were not easy to get and we totally lucked out that Ben got us some! We had a great time having pizza with him beforehand and getting to hang out with him!
