* Everything happens in "2 minutes." She says "be back in 2 mins?" and "read to me for 2 mins?" and "I talk to Daddy for 2 mins" and "Daddy come back from gym in 2 mins!"
* When she gets in trouble by anyone, she will come running with big crocodile tears and say "Daddy No-No'd me!" and "Joey No-No'd me!!!"
* She tells very elaborate stories that take forever and she usually repeats the same line four times. But, she tells stories with her hands and eyes and does lots of actions and imitations.
* She rocks, feeds, burps, cradles, swings and takes very good care of her babies.
* She is very much a daddy's girl. When she gets up in the morning, she says "Daddy at work or at gym?" And, when daddy walks in that door, she will literally dive out of my arms and into his.
* She still tucks her hands and legs in at night when we rock her.
* She sings "Rock a bye, Baby" and "Hush Little Baby" with me when I rock her to sleep.
* She always prefers daddy to put her to sleep.
* If Joey or Maddox don't listen to me, she will yell at them "JOEYYYY!! No yelling!" and "Maddox - you need to eat!"
* She loves playing football with the boys and will throw her hands up and yell "Touchdown!!!" And, if the boys tackle her, she gets completely annoyed with them.
* If I ask her to do something several times, she will look at me and in a sassy voice say very calmly "Okayyyy, Mom!"
* She calls gum "dum" and gma "damma."
* She loves to talk on the phone and often asks to call "Damma Sheiwa" and "Papa Mawk". Then, after she hangs up, she will look at me and say "Day (they) come to see me in 2 mins." If only they could!
* She does the "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" and the sign of the cross at the dinner table and then yells out a big "AMEN!" at the end of the prayer.
* She still loves Elmo but also has taken a liking to Nemo and Little Mermaid.
* When she hears a baby crying, she says "Baby Cwying, Baby Cwying" and gets a sad face.
* She calls the boys "Doey" and "Maggox"
* She can pick up an iPad and get to her baby games all by herself. She can take my phone and get to the camera and go to the picture slide show and go through all the photos on my phone.
* She does the "chicken wing" where she takes her one arm and flaps it like a chicken wing and then she'll say "Dada- my chicken wing is goin', my chicken wing is goin'". She also loves to dance in the car but only if the boys dance WITH her, and if they don't, she yells at them.
* She continually asks for "more"....if you are playing with her, she wants more; if you are feeding her, she wants more; if you are reading to her, she wants more.
* She's getting easier to take to the boys' baseball, football and basketball games....she at least is a little more managable.
* She loves strawberries, blueberries, waffles/pancakes, green beans, chocolate milk, donuts, fast food french fries, and chips.
* She likes to play "peek boo" and "hide and go seek."
* She knows exactly how to get out of trouble...she comes up to us, tilts her head, puckers her lip and says "I sowwy" or "Sowwy, mom"....and that's all it takes.
She has been so much fun the last three months. Both my boys had very easy "twos" so I'm hoping the same can be said for her. She is fun to play with, fun to watch, easy in public places (for the most part), easy to understand and communicate with, and is very loving. She loves to hug, cuddle, and give kisses.
For her birthday, we celebrated at home with just our family (we got her a changing table for her babies), and then later, we had a little party at our house after Maddox's football game on a Sunday. We did a "sailing" theme for her family birthday party - complete with a little sailor dress from her aunts and uncles!
She got some great gifts- really cute fall clothes, new pajamas, a Dowling headband, a Baby Alive, a baby stroller, a winter coat, some cute Sperrys, a Princess castle, a Little People doll house, a crib for her babies, and a large teddy bear....she was really spoiled rotten! She loved opening the gifts and being the center of attention!
I'm hoping the twos end as good as they started! We love you, Saylor Lynn!!
