Joey likes to swing like he's hitting a baseball...sadly though, his swing wasn't good in baseball either. Ha! Maddox had a decent swing. They both had moments of brightness but they both are now old enough to realize just how hard golf is. All summer long, they have been putting and hitting balls in our backyard though, and we've gone to the mini golf course and to the driving range a couple of times. We also found time this summer to make it to Great Grandma Taylor's house and play some golf on her course. So, they definitely have an interest in golf, which is nice. Next year, I hope to get them into a camp or a few lessons.

We finally got the boys out to Echo to go golfing. It was a lot of fun watching them play. But, before we got out there, Joey asked to talk to me alone and he whispered, "Mom, when I play golf, papa just wants to teach me and give me lessons and I just want to play." To which I responded, "You need to be taught, and you need lessons, so no, we won't just let you play." Let the fun begin!
