Brothers

This was some art work the boys did for each other this summer.

Maddox wrote the first piece above. Joey wrote the second piece below. I have a feeling Joey heard the phrase "Brothers by chance, friends by choice" somewhere and tried to re-create it...so he didn't quite nail it but it was really really cute that he tried! 

This is proof that they love each other even when they want to kill each other. 

Here are a few Joeyisms and Mad Dawgies:

* Joey: Mom, you should really think your ideas through before you say them out loud.
* Joey: Why is there a show called Wife Swap? Why would you want to swap your wife for someone else's? If I had a wife, I would want to keep her.
* Joey: Mom, I don't know if I'm hungry of if my butt has to fart.
* Joey: I never thought there'd come a time when I would hate PE. That's what square dancing made me do - it made me HATE PE!
* Joey:There were kids fighting over basketball at recess today, mom, and I looked at them and said, "There are kids STARVING in Africa- and your'e going to cry because you got out in baseball? Really?"  (Um, he might have gotten that from me somewhere along the way....)
* Joey: Why do people say 'Does a bear poop in the woods? I mean, of course bears poop in the woods, so why would people ask that?'  Then, we practiced using that phrase which was really cute.
* Joey: Why do people say 'Speak of the devil'? Why would anyone WANT to talk about the devil?
* Joey: Girls like me at school because of my wave.
Me: Your wave?
Joey: Yeah, the wave in my hair...girls like it. Maddox, girls are going to LOVE your hair trust me.
Maddox: Yeah, but I have two wings- I don't have a wave.
Joey: They are going to love your wings, Maddox. All the girls will chase you.
* Maddox: Papa Mark is such a nice guy. He bought us cement, a hoop and a basketball. He might be the nicest guy I know.
* Maddox: My friend Caleb said he is going to fight in the war. and, he's my best friend. What if he dies in the war???
