Daddy's Little Caddy

On Thursday, my parents took all the grandkids (who are potty trained) for the annual Cousins Camp.  This left us with Saylor.  It is truly amazing how little work parenting seems to be without the other two. I often times put most of the work onto Saylor because she has diapers and naps and bedtimes and food restrictions and restaurant time limits and all that goes into having a toddler.  But, I learned over the past four days that the boys require a lot of effort, too....like the need to constantly be fed or entertained or assisted in some way.  It was a lot of fun having Saylor alone to focus only on her....to play with her one on one, to take her places alone - even to do errands with just one child seemed like such a breeze.  Yet, when I had my first child, doing anything with the baby seemed like so much work! Funny how parenting can change your perception of everything over the years...

On Thursday night, we took Saylor golfing with Joe's parents.  She was SO easy...and in fact, we must have worn her out because she slept in until 10:30 a.m. the next day!

She ate Cheetos....

She filled A LOT of holes with Grandma...
She drank a Shirley Temple like a diva...
She rode in the cart with Gma and Gpa....

It totally appeared as if she had a better chance of becoming a beer cart girl (like her mama) than she did a golfer....but, alas, she finally got down to some serious bizness.

Her first run at the golf course was a success! Daddy was very happy to have his own personal caddy!
