Maddox's First Day of School!

Here are some photos of Maddox's first day of half-kindergarten! Because he's a summer birthday, we are sending him to half-day kindergarten this year, and full-day kindergarten next year! It worked great for Joey, so seems like a natural fit for Maddox!

Maddox couldn't wait for school to start! He was so excited to be going to school! He even told Joe  he didn't need to walk him inside- he'd go in all by himself! He's very brave like that! So, Joe walked him in the first day, but he went in on his own from there on out! So far, he's very enthusiastic about school, doesn't mind homework, and is very anxious to learn how to read.  His only disappointment is that sometimes they don't have recess - if they don't get their work done in time.  He told me that was the "worst day of his entire life."  Recess is obviously pretty important to this kid!
