December has been a busy month....to get ready for Christmas, we have:* Joey's Christmas Program at Sacred Heart
* Maddox's Christmas Program at Shepherd of the Valley
* Celebrated Christmas with my husband's family at Thanksgiving...celebrated early to accommodate everyone's schedules! It got the Christmas season kicked off!
* Joe put new LED lights on our house and they look great!
* Our Elf, Cookie, has made several appearances: hanging from the ceiling fan, eating our candy, making snow angels out of powdered sugar, he toilet papered our Christmas tree, he drank out of our syrup bottle, and he has been found wearing Joey's socks. The boys just crack up at all the "naughty" things he's been doing!
* Bought gifts for a family in need at Sacred Heart....it made me really sad because the family has three kids and does not have heat in their apartment. Makes you realize how blessed you are!
* I made cut-out sugar cookies for the first time! I actually think they turned out pretty darn good but would cook them less next time.
* Had Carter and Brynn for an overnight - Brynn fell asleep on Joe's shoulder which was adorable. Carter loved the train we had at the base of our tree. And, we all decorated the tree together (um, which was really just Joe decorating the tree while the rest of us ran around the house like crazies!)
* Had Grace and Maya over for a sleepover - they were all VERY good, but turns out Maya has her mother's problem- she talks and talks and talks while the other kids want to go to sleep. At 11:30, Joey walked in our room and said he couldn't get her to stop talking. : ) Makes me laugh!
* Going to Jolly Holiday Lights tonight with the boys, while our neighbors watch Saylor.
