Maddox and Grace celebrated their 3rd and 8th Birthday Parties together! My sister and I chose a Nebraska vs. Michigan theme for the big day! It was fun because everyone who came sported their favorite team- even Grandma Phyllis busted out an Iowa t-shirt, but then spent some time walking around the room explaining to everyone that she is also an Iowa State fan! The Coppolas all showed up decked out in Michigan wear, as expected! 
Mostly, it was just fun watching Maddox open his gifts! He tore into every single one like it was nobody’s business, and after each one, he’d say “YEAH – a BAT Cycle!” or “I LOVE IT!!!” or “Mom, I’ve been wanting this!!!"” – he even cheered when he got clothes! I loved every minute of it.
And, Grace waited patiently until it was her turn! And, then we spent the time oohing and ahhing over new clothes and new shoes and bracelets and necklaces and hair stuff! 
It was a fun day – complete with tailgating food, friends, family, cake and lots of presents!
