Joey's Newest Artwork

Joey went to Sunday School on Sunday and I was the helper this week. The lesson was about being scared and how you can always turn to Jesus when you're scared. So, we went around with each child and had to write down what they were scared of....and here's what Joey wrote.

Yes, apparently my child is deathly afraid of getting scratched by vampire teeth. What???? And, no, I was not the teacher who wrote this down. But the teacher who did was like, "Wow- you should see what this kid wrote" and I was like, "Oh, my kid????" And she was like, "Vampire teeth????" And, I was like, "He's all kinds of crazy. You should meet his father." Seriously, did he catch Twilight fever or what??? Damn you, Scooby Doo!
So, Joey and I had a long talk and I told him this: Everyone knows that sunlight can kill these blood-sucking night stalkers so just open your window, Joey, and you'll be fine!! Or, you can show them your cross necklace, because I believe that they can be killed by religious devices or something like that. Apparently, your faith is good for multiple things- getting to heaven AND killing vampires. They really should mention that in church more often.
No worries, Joey. We've got you covered. Focus on being scared of things like every other kid in your classroom- your brother or monsters under the bed or spiders. Leave the vampires alone.
