Just a few things to be thankful for this season...
....that I took a trip to Brazil 10 years ago and found someone who changed my life. And, I was smart enough to hold on to him.

...that this little guy came into our lives 5 years ago "accidentally on purpose" as we say. He may not have been in our 5-year plan, but he was in God's plan. Although his entrance into my world was less than stellar, his place in my world exceeds all expectations.

....that this little guy came into our lives 2 years ago...and wrapped me around his little finger from day one and has not let go since.

That I have parents who love me despite my faults, my imperfections, my annoying quirks, my rants, my raves, my opinions, my desires and who would do anything to make my world a little better. I am thankful they raised me with a number of good values, but mostly the value to be happy where you are at now and be happy for other people's happiness, not jealous. I think that's a value that can only be taught at home- and I'm so happy I learned it.

That I was blessed with in-laws that I actually love with my whole heart. I am thankful they raised a polite, courteous, humble, loving son who is a good daddy. Although their genes only allow me to give birth to boys, I have moved past it and love them because of it. A father-in-law who puts Handy Manny to shame. A mother-in-law who Betty Crocker could learn a few things from. I am thankful that I, and my sister-in-laws, are truly the daughters they never had.
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings, and there's just too many to name here. Family who supports you no matter what, friends who offer to stay overnight with you when your husband is gone, enough food in your cupboards to feed you for a week, a roof over your head on a rainy night, a healthy body that allows you to work hard every day, and so much more. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
