We had a great time! Their house has a very open layout plan and is beautiful! It has a huge basement that is ideal for kids, movies, guests and more! They live "in" town, yet in a new development so it's quiet and peaceful, still. They have wooded acres right behind them so it's in a perfect setting!
Decorah is a great town- very unique! Kelly and I went on a tour of homes- they were beautiful and BIG! And, we did some shopping "downtown" at some really cute shops. Joe and Tony stayed back and watched Michigan lose, and listened to Iowa barely win. We went out for pizza at Mabe's Pizza and it was some of the best pizza I've ever had! And, we also got to see the park, a walking trail, Tony's office, coffee shops, and some of their friends' houses. It was a great tour, and it made me miss living in a small town a lot. Every town- big and small- has it's good and bad about it. But, there's nothing like being a part of a small community where people know who you are, know your kids, know your dog and wave at you even if they don't know you!
Here are some photos from our trip! The boys played great together- and Bennett was perfect as a peach. He cried only once - and I guess when a camera falls on your head, it's a well-deserved cry! It was a great time- and we can't wait to go back in November for Davis' birthday party!
