It was a Great Day to be a Wolverine!

This is how we roll on Saturdays in the fall....
We put the helmet up on the mantle. Just so everyone in the household is clear on who is playing today. We put the game on. And, we put Tom Brady by the t.v. for good luck.

We dress in our Sunday best.

We put our game face on. We have a certain arrogance about us. We have no problem arriving at the Iowa-ISU tailgating party with no red, yellow, or black on. And, when they snicker, we grin on the inside- knowing that Iowa' day is just around the corner.
We call Papa Mark and we boo the Hawkeyes, and remind him that this is a Michigan-only house. All others will not be tolerated.
And, we end the day with a HUGE win over Notre Dame. And, Joe ends the day by throwing his back out amidst all the excitement. He could not control himself. It reminded me a little of the time my mom pulled a hammy by showing me her cheerleader moves to the Lake City Fight Song.
And, when we lay our heads down to sleep, we say a little prayer that goes like this, "Dear Baby Jesus, Thank you for giving us Tate Forcier. Thank you for Rich Rodriguez's long practices. Thank you for the Big House. And, thank you for our dad who is raising us as Wolverines. AMEN."
Oh, it was a good day to be a Michigan fan...Hail to the Victors!
