My cousin, Ashley, married Dean Smith this weekend! It was a great weekend to get married- weather was perfect, depsite a little rain on Saturday morning! Ashley asked my sister and I to be bridesmaids and Joey was the ringbearer! We have been excited for this day for a long time, so we were so excited to get the party started!
The rehearsal was on Friday night and Joey did great! We had G.I. Joes as bribes, and they worked their magic. The rehearsal dinner was at my Grandma and Grandpa Bruggeman's farm. They have a beautiful farm, with huge flower gardens everywhere, and a big red traditional barn that we just love. The Bruggeman family did not miss a beat when they got ready for this party. Lawn was mowed. Weeds were trimmed. Lane was perfect. Flowers were blooming. The barn was spotless. You could have eaten off the floor! Little touches were everywhere- white lights strung, quilts on the tables, tin farm signs hung, white fence - it was beautiful. And, Dean's family made a great meal of fried chicken and the works! His mom is a great cook and everyone enjoyed it! Ashley had a lot of things for the kids to do too- candy necklaces, markers and coloring books, pixy sticks, and they all enjoyed hanging out on the hayracks! Here are some photos from the night so you know just what I'm talking about. I think this rehearsal dinner could have been in those wedding magazines!
Our gracious hosts, Grandma and Grandpa! Grandpa loved showing off his farm, his barn, and he enjoyed the company so much!

Maddox got "bit by a bumble bee" like this....He told the story 19 times throughout the night, and is still talking about it today.
The nervous couple one night before tying the knot!
