And, we're all back together!

Joe has returned from fishing, Joey has returned from Cousins Camp, and life is "normal" again. Craziness has resumed at our household. Here is the interview I conducted with Joey about Cousins Camp!

What was the best part about Cousins Camp this year?
Swimming at the Glidden Pool

What did you like the most about the Glidden Pool?
Well, I couldn't go to the big slide because you have to be as tall as the dolphin's nose and I'm not that big.

What did you like the most about horseback riding?
I rode a really big horse. Mom, it was GIANT. It's legs were TWO FEET TALL!

What did you like doing with Maya the most?
She had a play horsie that she got from her cousin. And, we called the Black Spiderman "Spidey Girl" and she would put Spidey Girl on the horse and say "Neighhh...Neigh...." or something like that. You know the sound horses make? That's what she would say.

What did you like doing with Gracie the most?
I liked doing everything with her. I just like to play with her all the time.

What was the best thing Gma Sheila did for you?
She gave me sippies all the time.

What was the best thing Papa Mark did for you?
He gave me Ranger Rides whenever I wanted them.

Did you ever get in trouble?
Nope. I was good the whole time.

Did Gracie and Maya ever get into trouble?
Gracie never did. She was good like me. Maya got in trouble once because she kept telling and telling and telling and Papa Mark told us 'No more telling!' and we couldn't tell any more after he said that.

Do you mean tattle-tale?
Yes, that's what I mean!

What was your favorite food?
Fruit snacks.

Did you like to go to Grandma Doris' garden?
Yes. I liked potatoes. No, I liked onions. No....hmmm....I picked this REALLY, REALLY fat one, Mom! It was so fat.

What did you do with Grandma Phyllis?
I don't know. I didn't talk to Grandma Phyllis. And, I forgot to tell her that I loved her.

Who did you miss the most? And, please remember who is interviewing you right now before you answer this.
My dad. I missed my dad the most.

Did you get to stay up late at Grandma and Grandpa's?
Yes. Until FIVE!

And, here's an interview I did with myself.
Self: What was the best part about Joey being gone to Cousins Camp?
Self: I got to spend undivided time and all of my attention on one child. And, I got a date night with my husband!

Self: What is the best thing about Papa and Grandma?
Self: That they want to take my children, that they want to give us a break, that all of his clothes come back clean in his bag and can go straight back in his dresser.

Self: What is the worst part about Cousins Camp?
Self: That he comes back ultra-spoiled and has to go through 3 days of Grandma and Grandpa Detox. It's gruelling (and includes whining, begging and anything but obeying) but we eventually make it through, until the next time we visit, and then it starts all over again.

Looks like another successful Cousins Camp! While Joey was away, we worked on taking the pacifier away from Maddox. It actually made me pretty sad- no longer a baby, all about being a big boy now. We clipped the end of the pacifier so Maddox knows it's "broken." He keeps picking it up, making a sad face and saying, "Bwoken, Bwoken." Maddox only had his pacifier at nap time and at bedtime, but it's still hard giving it up. And, harder on mom and dad!

It's nice to all be together again! As I'm typing, I hear wrestling, jumping on dad, guns, Wolverine claws, a slap, a hit, and a burp. Yes, definitely back to normal here.

I love this! Cousins Camp sounds so fun... I want to go! Just send Maddox to my m-i-l's. She'll take away the paci. She just took Will's away last weekend while they were staying with her:)
