To our surprise, Joey earned high marks in nearly everything - sharing, listening, sitting still, attentiveness, manners, taking directions, etc. The only thing that he needs direction for is cleaning up his messes - meaning he doesn't do it without being asked. Wow- shocker. Anyway, we were both very proud of his behavior marks. Mrs. Doner told us Joey was a "bright" child - however, seeing that he can only identify 2 letters on his letter chart, I think we'll take that as a sympathy compliment. She said Joey's best friends are Will and Caleb and that they always play together - and they sometimes play with one girl. She said they all get along very well - and that his favorite color is green. So, it went better than expected - but it appears we need to work on letter and number identification.
Here is a self-portrait he drew. Adorable. Neither Joe or I are good artists, but maybe someday he'll inherit Uncle Jeff's drawing skills.

And, here is what Joey is thankful for. The girls said they were thankful for their mommy and daddies. The boys said, "cars" or "trucks" or as Joey said - his "Spidey Car." The Spidey Car is a hand-me-down from Sam McMurray. I can't wait to show Sam's mom, Julie. She'll love this.

And, in closing- Go Southern Cal Mustangs! We head to the dome for the Class A Football Championship. We won in 1990 and my brother's team won in 2000. Once a Mustang....Always a Mustang.

hee hee. Guthrey and I are giggling right now at Joey's self portrait. Love it.
Funny how Joey's self-portrait looks just like the picture he drew of Talia this summer. They are both adorable though, he captured their essence perfectly!
