1. Joey asked me before his nap today if Santa will be there when he wakes up. I informed him we have approximately 25 more sleeps until he comes! Ahhh!
2. I have already received mom and dad's standard, "We do not need anything for Xmas this year!" speech.
3. I have already received the "I can't believe you have a fake tree - that should be illegal" speech. This time it came from Joe's Aunt Paula. Really, people, I love my fake tree. It can be put up at a moment's notice. Light an Evergreen candle in the room and it smells real. I paid $60 one time and have gotten at least $360 worth of use out of it. I am okay with a fake tree. Don't feel sorry for me.
4. The neighbors have their lights up already. Oh no, that's right, I forgot - they are still up from last year! Let me amend that - the neighbors turned on their lights again.
5. It's snowing! And, it's snowball and snowman snow- the sticky kind. The best kind.
6. My mother and father-in-law have already had their annual fight over color vs. white lights on their REAL trees. (Bobbi prefers white, Joe prefers color).
7. We are going shopping for the family we adopted through our church today! This is our fifth year of doing this (I think) and we love it. This year, we have to buy for a single mom, a 10-year-old, a 13-year old, and a 15-year-old. Teenagers....this could be difficult. We adopted them with our friends, Wes and Amy.
8. Our Tivo is set to record each and every Christmas cartoon that is playing the entire season. The Grinch. Charlie Brown. Rudolph. Polar Express. And, my favorite (and Joe's least favorite) Hallmark Movie Season has begun!
9. The phone calls have begun. You know the phone call - Um, whose name do I have? Now, what's the limit? Why did you get her name two years in a row? So, when are we exchanging? What Christmas are you going to be at? Why can't you come?
10. I have holiday music playing as much as possible. And, we got to sing one today at church even!
And, here are some photos that will prove the Christmas season has arrived. These are some photos from the Kidman Christmas Tree Farm! Daddy Joe (a.k.a. Sparky from the movie 'Christmas Vacation') arranged for a family visit to the tree farm - even if we are fake-tree lovers. It was great- it was a beautiful day, Santa and Mrs. Clause were there, hot cocoa and a horse-ride. We all loved it!
Joey told Santa he wanted a Dark Knight for Christmas. He was not shy at all. Maddox wanted nothing to do with him!

Let it Snow!
