Saylor's Gymnastics and Softball

Thursday, May 24, 2018

Saylor has officially joined the ranks of her brothers - sports, practices, gyms, games, hurried suppers, and schedules! It's a little crazy at our house right now with 3 in different directions, but we somehow manage to get it done.

Saylor had a nice little gymnastics year...it wasn't too intense. Two hour long practices twice a week and she really enjoyed it for the most part! There were some practices that she struggled through, mostly because she was tired from school, or just simply wanted to stay home....but, she showed lots of improvement throughout the year. And, when it came time to "try out for team," she was very willing and ready! And, she made it! She was so excited when we told her that she started crying....it was so cute!

Here are some photos from her final gymnastics "performance"...she did a great job and was oh so serious! Honestly, the best part of gymnastics is that it does seem to bring self confidence and bravery so it's been fun watching her develop those character traits too!

Now, on to softball...we had a rainy softball season so a slow start but a strong finish! She had about 6 games and she looked forward to each one. She also really wanted fans at each of her games too! She would say "Who's coming to my game tonight, mom?" ha ha! She hit the ball well, her throwing improved so much, she knew the positions at the end of the season, and has started to catch the ball! Most of all, she enjoyed it so we consider that a win! And, she loved it when her brothers paid attention to her! Here are some fun photos from the season!
