Here we come, Sacred Heart!

This might be the first day of school where there were no jitters at all! The boys were kind of excited to go back actually- they were excited to see their friends, and they both had really good teachers that they were looking forward to!

The boys both had great days. They had Chicken O's for lunch, they both got assigned as helpers to the teachers (Maddox said he signed up as the teacher's errand runner so he could "get out of class more"), and they both had fun at recess. Joey has a brand new teacher and told me "Mom, I keep thinking about just how nice she is- I just can't believe how nice she is!" So, that's a good start for him. Maddox also has a great teacher! And, he's doing math in the third grade room and doesn't seem as nervous about that as I thought he would be!

After school, we had to go get Saylor in Boone from my mom and dad. I surprised the boys with a can of pop with caffeine. This is a big treat so they were excited- and I got them Sour Patch Kids. We met my parents at Dairy Queen for an after school treat too!

Joey said "Mom, I think this might be my most favorite year yet at Sacred Heart!" Let's hope that's the truth for both boys! Here we go....
