Valentine's Weekend Getaway

Well, it might not have been the most romantic Valentine getaway- but it was a weekend away from home. We decided to take just the boys and give them the much-needed attention that they crave on a 24-7 basis.  Saylor stayed back home and got the much-wanted attention she craves from gma and gpa Remsburg! I'm not sure who worked harder- Joe and I or Gma and Gpa! I think we were all exhausted!

We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. This was near Jeff, near shopping, near restaurants and obviously had a water park inside it! So, there were a lot of benefits! We ended up making it in time to go visit my cousin Jenny in Leavenworth-  her husband coaches St. Mary's bball team there, so we got to see them win the Conference Championship too!

The boys loved the hotel room- it had a little bunk room inside of our bigger room and they had their own tv which they thought was super cool!

 Lego Land was neat- but it was more of a Discover Play Center. There were some really neat things made out of Legos, and then there were some activities for the kids to do!

We also got to go to this huge Crayola store that was really neat- all kinds of Crayola products that you don't see at a normal store. It was really neat! Joey picked out this drawing sketchbook that he loves, and Maddox picked out a dot to dot. 

 Uncle Jeff joined us for a couple of meals and for some swimming and sliding. The boys love having him around and it was nice to catch up! The slides really were a lot of fun- we were all exhausted by night time!

The kids were tired, we were tired and everyone was ready to be home on Saturday. We picked Saylor up on Sunday and we were shot back into reality. That little girl sure runs circles around us! 

We had a great time and it was great to get away and love on the boys a little extra! Thanks for meeting us Uncle Jeff and thanks to Gma and Gpa for taking Miss Thang!
