Cousins Camp Recap

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Cousins Camp consisted of: make-believe pirates, water gun fights, water balloons, swimming at the Glidden Pool and at Aunt Cathy's pool, fishing at Swan Lake, Happy Meals, ice cream, ranger rides, jeep rides, jumping on the trampoline, playing with goats and geese at Swan Lake, a visit from Grandma Phyllis and much, much more! It was a great "break" for us parents! Here's a short interview with the boys about their weekend!

What was your favorite part of cousins camp?
Joey: Going to the Glidden pool.
Maddox: Going to Aunt Cathy's pool.

Did you catch any fish?
Joey: No! Neither did Grace and Maya!
Maddox: My bobber never went under! It NEVER did, mom.

What's the best part about Papa Mark?
Joey: He lets us go to the pool and takes us on ranger rides.
Maddox: We had squirt guns and filled them up with water and we had balloons and he played with us.

What's the best part about Gma Sheila?
Joey: When she got us those balloons and water guns.
Maddox: She reads to me at night.

What was the best food you ate?
Joey: We had bananas and milk- they were mixed. They were in the same cup. Isn't that gross, mom? Or, do you like it that way? I love it.
Maddox: Chicken nuggets and hamburgers from McDonalds.

What time did you go to bed at night?
Joey: 10:30
Maddox: 6

What do you like the most about Papa and Gma's house?
Joey: Because their garage is so cool. It has a stick in it. It's more cooler than ours.
Maddox: I like shooting everybody in the house.

What other things did you do?
Maddox: I built a necklace - one that went on my hand and one that went on my neck.
Joey: Playing pirates was good. Me and Gracie played pirates and we pretended like we were fighting on a ship.
Maddox: The goat kissed me.
Joey: And Gracie holded one. It got her all hairy.

Did you miss mom and dad?
Maddox: Yeah. I was sad.
Joey: Yes. I did. But, I talked to you, mom. I talked to that star on the first night (I told him to wish on a star and I would wish on the same one so we'd be together still).
Maddox: I did too. But, I talked on the phone. I said "Mom? Dad? What? What?" (He had a pretend phone of Gma and Gpa's that he used to have these conversations).
