Just us. After all these years, all the ups and downs, still together. I still remember a quote from Lee Iacocca, legendary Chrysler businessman, that said something to the effect of - "The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works is the family." I thought that was pretty powerful, coming from a man who turned Chrysler around. (I read a book on Lee Iacocca that my dad had in junior high...I think I must have been desperate for reading material or something, and sick of my dad suggesting it).
Yep, this is an institution that works. Not every day. Not without imperfections. Not without bad times. Not without a lot of prayer. Not without "I'm sorrys". Not without pain. Not without sorrows. Not without big mistakes. Not without promises broken. Not without tears.
But, I'd rather go through it with this group than anyone else.
