For my mom's best friend, La Dean. If cancer was fought on a positive attitude alone, it'd have no shot. For always taking joy in the little moments life gives us. She has never stopped dreaming.
For Joey's classmate, Elise, who at 4 1/2 years old, is fighting a tumor in the brain stem; and for her parents, who would trade places with her in a heartbeat.
For my grandpas. For my dad. My heroes.

And, a special shout-out to Brette....Joey is spreading the message at a young age. She has taught us well! Brette's message already reached a gal, who later found cancer because of that message. Something good can always come out of something bad.
Keep calm and carry on. May God's love and healing powers be with all of you as you face the journey ahead. Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we cannot see. Have faith. We're right by your side.
