We had Christmas at Bobbi and Joe's a week early. We've done it that way for a long time now, and we all love it that way. For one, it means Christmas truly does come early for our family! And, two, it lightens the load from going from one house to the next on the 24th and 25th and never really enjoying the days. And, three, it spreads the gifts out - especially for the little ones!
Normally, we have just five little boys running around the house crazed, but this year, Joe and I watched our good friends' little girl, Lydia at Christmas, as well. I must say it was weird having a little girl in the Coppola household, and it was very different watching 3 kids versus 2! Although it was harder, she was very easy- she's a happy, easy-going baby! And, Maddox loved "him"! It did give me a bit of baby fever....but I told Joe I'd rather just adopt Lydia.
We got some great gifts at Bobbi and Joe's....I got some new clothes, earrings, a bracelet, and pajamas. Joe got his degrees framed and a Michigan sweatshirt. And, the boys got kids' digital cameras, a hot wheels game, a lite brite, some clothes, and bike helmets. It was great.
We also had Joe's Grandma Taylor's Christmas on Sunday. We got some great gifts there, as well! That side of the family is growing- marriages and babies every year so it's always filled with new faces it seems! And, once again- ALL boys!
