CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES....C'MON!

This summer has been filled with some great celebrations, get-togethers, grill-outs, and birthday parties ! Here's a sampling of what we've been up to lately!

We had Lisa Coppola's 40th Surprise Birthday Party! It was a great night - and she seemed genuinely surprised!

Joe and I are pretty close to Chuck and Lisa's family....we weave a tangled web actually. Lisa watches my boys 3 days a week - and my boys are in love with her kids- Chuckie III, Zach and Ashley. Those kids are wonderful to my kids - we're very lucky! I also work for Chuck, Jr. - he got me a job at his company, Vital Support Systems. And, Chuck is also my husband's Godfather. Lisa and I have been close since I first came into this family - we hit it off immediately and have been close ever since. She's taught me so much about motherhood- what's important and what's not. Joe and I had a great time at the party!

Another celebration....a tooth lost! Here's my neice, Grace, cheezin' it for the camera with one tooth gone! We were so happy to get that phone call! Wow. She's growing up so fast!

Joe's cousin, Kate Coppola, is getting married in September. We had a bridal shower and "Girls Night Out" for her! Here are a couple photos from the night. They live in Colorado so we only see them a few times each year, but when we do, we always have a great time!

Here's Kate and Kacey's sister, Kara. Kara and I have become close over the past year or two. I'm not sure why my eyes are always so psycho in photos, but they are. Like they might just pop out of my head if you're not careful.

Well, this visit to the Blank Park Zoo wasn't exactly a celebration - but it was great! We met up with one of my best high school friends, Justine and her girls, Maren and Morgan. These girls were adorable, sweet, playful, and happy as can be! They got along great with my boys. Maren and Joey loved laughing at the seals the most- but they just loved everything! It was great seeing them!

And, lastly, we celebrated my nephew's baptism! Bennett Michael was baptized on Saturday night. He was so good- the water didn't scare him! It was a very nice service. Bennett is getting so big, and every time we see him, he seems to have grown so much. Since Tony and Kelly have moved to Decorah, we've seen them quite frequently so it hasn't been that different. But, I have noticed that the big difference is that we can't see them whenever we want to now- it has to be scheduled, has to be planned. And, when you have little kids, you just want to be able to call them up and say- Wanna go to the park or Let's go to the pool! Well, that just can't happen....so that's a big ol' bummer. But, it is what it is! And, we have visits to Decorah already scheduled!

In closing, I would like to ask for prayers for my friend Andrea, and her whole family. While Andrea was in Iraq, Andrea's Aunt Casey passed away from cancer. This weekend, Andrea got some bad news that her uncle Steve (Casey's husband) had a bad horse accident. He is currently in the hospital in terminal condition. Like I've said before, life isn't always fair, it doesn't always make sense and it seems unfathomable that three girls are going to lose both of their parents in one year. Please keep them in your prayers.
