A few new "Joeyisms" for you - that include new words and new pronunciations....

Joey: Mom, do you remember how you dunk a baby under the water and he grows up really fast?
Me: No, I don't think I do remember that.
Joey: Yeah, remember, you put water over their head and they grow up so, so fast.
Me: Joey, if you dunk a baby in the water, they would sink and they wouldn't be able to breathe, and that would be very sad.
Joey: No, mom, I'm talking about when they get "babyrized" - remember when Maddox was babyrized?
Me: Do you mean "baptized" Joey? Yes, I remember that.
Joey: Yes, I mean baprized. That's what I'm talking about.

I made eggs the other morning with red peppers, green peppers, and onions. Joe put them on Joey's plate and Joey replied, "Wow, Dad! Thank you so much! I just love INGREDIENTS."

Joey and I are walking up the hill to the softball games and I grab his hand to hold it and he said, "Mom, don't you know? I'm a big boy now and big boys don't need to hold their moms' hands." Ouch. Right through the heart.

This morning, I poured him cereal and put the box away. He says to me, "Mom, can I have the box? When daddy was a little boy, Grandma said he looked at the box so I want to look at the box just like daddy did."

And, here's to a start of what I will refer to as "MadDawgies":
Computer: Pronounced "Pooty"
Grandma: Pronounced "Wamma"
Water: Pronounced "Wa-Go"
Monster: Pronounced "Mono"
Blanket: Pronounced "Bey-Bey"
Swim: Pronounced "Whim, Whim!"
Outside and Slide: Both pronounced the same - "Side"
Maddox: Pronounced "Maggie"

Seriously, Maddox gets cuter every day. He's starting to get a little easier- now that he's talking more and can communicate his feelings a little more. And, the hitting is starting to slow down a little...he seems to think twice now before bringing his hand back- small improvements, right?

We had a good weekend in Marshalltown at Joe's softball tournament. The boys were really good and we got a lot of swimming in. Of course, it made the weekend go by really, really fast and it was a lot of work, but in the end, I think it was worth it! The boys seemed to enjoy every minute of swimming, playing, being outside and running on the softball fields. So, although mom and dad are exhausted- the boys are not!
