Okay, if you follow my blog at all, you've realized the pooping problems my family has encountered along the way. As Randy Pausch would say, "If there's an elephant in the room, you might as well introduce him." Pooping is our elephant, so I talk freely about it.
Here's the most recent story. Maddox woke up after a good 13-hour night of sleep. He was extremely wet - soaked through his diaper and pajama pants so I took everything off. Joe was at the gym and due home any minute, and then I was heading to the gym. So, I took everything off of him and let him crawl around the house naked and figured I'd put him in the shower quick with Joe when he got home. Well, Joe took a little longer than I expected and Maddox roamed the house freely. I'm not worried about him peeing on the floor so I let him run wild. Joe got home, I explained why Maddox was naked and told him just to clean him off and put clothes on him, and I was out the door. After I was done with the gym, I called Joe and he said, "Did you let Maddox go around the house naked?" and I said, "Yes, for a little bit...why? did he get into something?" Then Joe asked, "Did you let him go in my shower?" And, I remembered that I did hear Maddox in there, but it was no big deal. So, I said, "Yes, but he was hardly in there for a minute- he came right out. Why?" And, Joe said, "Because there are two big turds in my shower! They stink horribly! Maddox took a crap in my shower!" Seriously, I lost it. I couldn't believe it! Isn't that funny? I picture Maddox crawling, looking in the shower and thinking, "Well, this might be a good place to do my business" and then squatting and thinking, "Wow, that stinks, I gotta get outta here!" What a little monkey!
Today, Maddox woke up with his usual poopy pants and it was actually all over his blankets. Everything is in the wash today!
And, Maddox isn't the only one with pooping problems. Our dog, Remsy, is about to be given up for adoption. She has serious gas issues. SERIOUS. So serious, that I hear Joe on the phone with our vet, and this is what he's saying, "Um, yeah, so our dog Remsy smells....um, no....well, it's really nasty....I mean....I guess you could say she has a gas problem....like she's passing gas and it's so bad that she can't sleep in our bedroom anymore....it's awful....what can we do?" I was cracking up listening to him, and he'd start laughing every now and then. I guess it's better than calling your own doctor and saying that. At least Remsy doesn't know she's an embarrassment to our family.
Okay, on to better things....
Kansas City: Awesome. We had a great time. We all had a great time away from our husbands and children. We laughed about what they were all doing, how they were handling it, etc. We each bought a few things but no one went crazy (I won't tell you about Kelly's extreme purchase...but, it was SO worth it). We just enjoyed the R&R more than anything - our hotel room was suite, too. (Get it? Sweet/Suite). It was fun hanging out and NOT focusing on our children - which rarely happens! Anyway, we vowed to do it next year and head to Chicago or Mall of America! Can't wait!
Uncle Jeff: He had a week off from school. He has officially declined from his previous 4.0 GPA (gasp!). We are learning to love him despite his 3.96 GPA. Here are some photos of Jeff's visit. Actually, Jeff never really did visit - only Spiderman and Incredible Hulk. I think Jeff liked playing just as much as the boys.

Joey: Had a halloween party at school. He chose his Dark Knight costume for this one. He was so cute. And, all the moms told me so! Here are a couple photos of him at school. It's so cute seeing him with his friends, Caleb and Will. Here he is showing off his costume!
